The mission of the Mayor's Assistant is to serve as a critical link between the citizens and the service delivery mechanisms of the City of New Baltimore government.

 

It is the responsibility of the office to assist the Mayor in seeing that the day-to-day business of city government runs smoothly and efficiently. Some of the more important functions of the department include:

  • Communicating with Mayor, City Council, citizens, employees, and press.
  • Responding in a timely manner (either verbally or written) to citizens regarding their complaints, problems, and inquiries.
  • Preparing, presenting to Council and monitoring the City's annual budget.
  • Forwarding plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action.

Marc A. Levise has served in this position for the last nine plus years after previously being elected to three terms as a City of New Baltimore Councilman. Marc had previously served on the City Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Downtown Development Authority as well as the Executive Committee of S.E.M.C.O.G. He currently serves on the Pension Board, Chairman of the Local Development Finance Authority, Road Committee, Wastewater and Water Plant expansion Committees and the Recreation Committee.
