1. I am a new homeowner, what do I do?

Bring your Property Transfer Affidavit (PTA) and Principle Resident Exemption (PRE) paperwork to the Assessing Department. You can also mail the documents to:

City Hall
Assessing Department
36535 Green St.
City of New Baltimore, MI 48047

Once these documents are turned in, taxes and the water/rubbish service will get put into your name.

2. Where can I get a copy of a sketch?

Visit the Assessing Department at City Hall to pick up a sketch; they are not available online at this time. 

3. I just got married/divorced, how do I change my name on the property?

Call the Assessing Department at 586-725-2151 ext. 106 or ext. 114 or send an email with a proof of name change. 

4. I am moving out of my house, is there anything I need to do?

If the property is your primary residence and you claimed a PRE on it, you need to file your Request to Rescind PRE form - visit the Assessing page for more details.
