The mission of the Mayor's Assistant is to serve as a critical link between the citizens and the service delivery mechanisms of the City of New Baltimore government.
Responsibilities & Functions:
It is the responsibility of the Administrative Assistant to assist the Mayor in seeing that the day-to-day business of city government runs smoothly and efficiently. Some of the more important functions of the department include:
Communicating with Mayor, City Council, citizens, employees, and press
Responding in a timely manner (either verbally or written) to citizens regarding their complaints, problems, and inquiries
Preparing, presenting to Council and monitoring the City's annual budget
Forwarding plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action
